How I Increase Your Value of Time®

As the firm’s Chairman and CEO I am responsible for strategic planning, vision, and maintaining the firm’s values so that we increase the Value of Time™ for our clients, associates, and shareholders. I currently serve as Chairman of the Board for Pacific Wealth Advisors, the holding company for Pacific Portfolio Consulting, LLC, and Pacific Portfolio Trust Company, and I’m Chairman of our internal investment committee. My primary function is to serve as the Lead Advisor to the firm’s high-net-worth individuals and families, Foundations, and Endowments and select retirement plan clients. I have always been passionate about being a valued partner to our clients. We have built a firm that continues to put our clients’ interests first while building expertise and services that add value to financial lives. This approach, our values, and platform allow our clients the ability to spend time on the things they are passionate about while being assured that we are taking care of the details. Serving as an experienced fiduciary advisor, I am able to understand the nuances of our clients’ situations and bring our firmwide resources together to ensure that our clients will meet or exceed their financial, investment, estate planning, and charitable goals.

My Career Journey

Before founding Pacific Portfolio, I was a Partner and Division Manager at a Seattle–based Diversified Financial Services firm where I was responsible for developing the fee-only Investment Advisory Practice. I have over 30 years of experience providing leadership and management oversight to financial planning and fee-only investment advisor companies while working with clients to increase their Value of Time®. I have served on a number of private and public boards and been an angel investor in a number of companies. We firmly believe in giving back. As part of my services to the community, I am currently serving as a member of the Cystic Fibrosis Advisory Board as well as the Forterra Board and Finance Committee.

My Academic Base

I hold degrees in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Puget Sound and have the designation of ChFC® from the American College.

What the Value of Time® Means to Me Personally

I enjoy the relationship that I have built with our clients, many of which have been with us for decades. I am honored to be an important part of many of their lives. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with Ritchie and our three children in our homes in Kent or La Quinta, or traveling to new destinations. When I am not with them, I’m most likely golfing or enjoying a sporting event.
